- In the course, I will teach you everything you need to know about the materials and tools required to work with encaustic.
ABOUT YOUR INSCTRUCTOR
Gabriela Sánchez
Born in Mexico City in 1972, she is a visual artist with a degree in Textile Design and a master’s degree in Visual Communication. She dedicates her full time to her art and has incorporated her academic training into her work. She is recognized in the encaustic environment as a prominent artist and instructor, having taught courses to numerous students throughout her career.
Gabriela Sánchez has built a successful career through solo and group exhibitions, both in Mexico and abroad, combining her personal pursuit of poetic expression with technical skill in materials.
From 2002 to 2003, Gabriela has produced numerous artistic works with a common theme, her exploration of the line as a form of representation.

Frequently Asked Questions
When does the course start?
The course «Introduction to encaustic painting» will take place next Thursday, July 06; and Friday, July 07, 2023, from 06:00 pm to 07:30 pm (PST).
On what platform will the course be streamed?
We will be using StreamYard. Once you have enrolled, you will receive instructions and an access link. It’s very easy to use, and the streaming quality is excellent!
Will the workshop sessions be recorded in case I am unable to attend a particular session?
The live streaming will take place via StreamYard, and the recordings will be available on YouTube for you to access with your unique login password. This will allow you to practice and review the content as many times as you want at your preferred time.
Will there be a support group where I can interact with other workshop participants?
Absolutely! We will have a dedicated WhatsApp group where you can connect and share your experiences with other workshop participants. This way, you will be able to interact and share doubts with other group members, enhancing your learning experience.
What is the dynamic of the classes like?
During the workshop, Gabriela will conduct demonstration sessions where you can observe and learn encaustic techniques without the need to work on your own piece during the sessions. This allows you to focus on the learning process and acquire the knowledge being shared. Afterwards, you will have the opportunity to review and practice at home what you have learned during the sessions.
When will I be provided with the list of materials necessary for the workshop?
You will find the list of materials available via WhatsApp at the moment you enroll, along with the Amazon links, which will make it easier for you to get everything you need to get started. Additionally, very soon we will have our online store so you can purchase your materials directly and without complications.
Can I request a refund if I am unable to attend the workshop?
Unfortunately, refunds will not be issued in the event that you are unable to attend the in-person workshop, as you will have access to the recordings. We recommend carefully checking the dates and times before enrolling.
